Campbell was born on November 21, 2003, in Kalispell, Montana, and had just begun his senior year at Glacier High School. Campbell was born on a blizzardy day and could never get enough of the snow as he grew older. He lived for the extreme and was an accomplished Big Mountain freeride skier that enjoyed competing in IFSA freeride events. Campbell was almost more comfortable in the air than he was on the ground. In the summer, he loved water sports. Anything that involved a board, gliding on top of the water, or flipping into it from cliffs or bridges. His other summer passion was mountain biking. Campbell was smart and did well in school at both Cayuse Prairie through 8th grade and at Glacier, with many semesters of 4.0 grade point averages, and was a member of the National Honor Society. Through NHS, Campbell was a junior counselor at the Good Grief Camp for children who had lost people close to them. He had a special way of listening and caring for others, even when he was hurting.
